Strategic Partnership Between UBC and ZPP for Economic Growth
Polish businesses could be interested in gaining a broader understanding of investment opportunities in Ukraine, while Ukrainian businesses could become more open and actively integrate into the Polish, European, and global economy. This would benefit entrepreneurship in both countries. This was the focus of a meeting in Warsaw between Nadiya Bedrychuk, member of the Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Business Council (UBC) and Executive Director of the Ukrainian Direct Selling Association, and Marcin Nowacki, Vice President of the Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers of Poland (ZPP).
A key area of mutual interest for both organizations is the removal of barriers to business cooperation, simplification of trade and regulatory frameworks, Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction, and coordination of efforts to foster dialogue between different export sectors.
Currently, Ukraine imports twice as much from Poland as it did before 2022. Poland is the second-largest supplier of goods to Ukraine after China, surpassing Germany. From Ukraine’s perspective, Poland remains a key export market, with Polish companies purchasing $4.7 billion worth of Ukrainian products in 2024.
In the near future, UBC and ZPP are expected to sign a memorandum of cooperation. This document will lay the foundation for further collaboration and joint initiatives.
URB, the largest business association in Ukraine, unites 121 leading industry organizations and focuses on business consolidation and promoting economic reforms.
ZPP, in turn, is one of Poland’s leading business associations, working to improve the business climate, support small and medium-sized enterprises, and develop policies in the fields of entrepreneurship and employment.
ZPP also welcomes Ukrainian businesses as members and actively facilitates cooperation between businesses and institutions in Poland, the EU, and Ukraine.
