Members of the Ukrainian Business Council – representatives of agricultural industry associations – participated in an online meeting with the Chairman of the Committee on Finance, Taxation, and Customs Policy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Danylo Hetmantsev, and experts from the State Tax Service of Ukraine. During the meeting, current issues of the agricultural sector were discussed, relating to tax and financial policies.
In particular, the participants of the discussion raised the issue of the need to make changes to the Tax Code of Ukraine in order to regulate the issue of sums of overpayments that arose in the previous year and were credited towards obligations in 2023 but do not affect the calculation of the minimum tax liability. They also discussed supporting the agricultural sector and the further fate of bills aimed at stimulating export activities and investment insurance.

Commenting on the possibility of state support for the export of agricultural products, Danylo Hetmantsev noted: “The state’s resources for supporting exports are limited, and our task is to support the export of finished products, not raw materials. This is a consolidated position with the Ministry of Finance.”

Deputy Chairman of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council, Dmytro Kokhan, raised the issue of the situation with water user organizations and asked to include in the Tax Code provisions for their property to be transferred to the reclamation agency after liquidation.

Representatives of agricultural associations – the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Council and the Ukrainian Agricultural Business Club – also proposed changes to the schedule of tax audits, in order to shift inspections of agricultural enterprises to the lower agricultural season in September-October.
Regarding all the raised issues, the participants of the discussion agreed to continue cooperation and work out common solutions.
